The brief is to design a poster publicising a poetry reading organised by Poetry Ireland.
The advertising poster would appear throughout Dublin city, in theatres, cinemas, bookshops, libraries and schools with the focus on the work of Sergei Yesenin. The finished design should attract the attention of a number of audiences, ranging from seasoned poetry lovers to those new
(or even antipathetic) to the subject. Following the initial broad research into the area of poetry,

The goal is to use typography as a form of language in such a way that it expresses interpretation of the meaning and message of the poem. The historical facts that paint the picture of the time and place when the poem was written contribute to the visual language on the poster. Cold and snowy streets of St. Petersburg, Angleterre Hotel, 1925. A mysterious death of one of the greatest Russian poets — tragic, flawed with romantic style to match his image.
