The project aims to engage the reader to learn about numbers in a story-telling manner.
It would help the reader understand numbers better and their relation to our lives. That could potentially improve interest in the subject. Performing math equations is quite hard for a lot of people due to their lack of comprehension of what exactly they are doing and why.
A background in numbers could help them to learn and understand rather than memorise sums
.
It also gives a historical context to each topic which will put this information in perspective to how things began and evolved.
The idea is to provide historical and factual narrative in addition to the standard curriculum.
It could potentially improve the interest and break the stigma associated with the subject.
The publication would be a part of the ongoing series of maths journals. The series begins with an extraordinary story about zero.
Form, function, content and target audience are factors that influence the design approach. The layout intended to be comprehensible and somewhat playful, allowing the reader to engage with the text in contrast to a standard maths textbook. Big and bold elements of the layout attract readers attention to communicate the concepts within the narrative. The content divided into chapters which identified by typographic illustrations of number zero.
